About the role

MUSC Health is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join our Midlands Division hospitals in Camden and Columbia, South Carolina. As part of the state’s only comprehensive academic health system, you’ll practice in a collaborative, well-resourced environment with strong clinical support and access to advanced technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert, timely treatment for a full spectrum of urgent and critical conditions
  • Benefit from skilled APPs, experienced nursing staff, and robust multi-specialty collaboration
  • Work in a collegial, small-team atmosphere at MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center
  • Enjoy a work-life balance with scheduling 2-3 months in advance
  • Access to a state-of-the-industry outpatient facility with 15 patient rooms and a dedicated fast track
  • Utilize advanced GE ultrasound machine for providers and Glidescope Core
  • Benefit from stat laboratory services on site and comprehensive on-site imaging services
  • Receive multi-specialty support for patient care needs
  • Participate in a tertiary care facility with subspecialty services at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown

Requirements

  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
  • Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
  • Current Medical License in South Carolina
  • Experience in Emergency Medicine preferred

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine
  • Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX examinations
