About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Emergency Medicine physician to join our dynamic team at the VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital campus, which treats 26,000+ patients per year and plans for Level 3 Trauma designation in the near future. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission by providing exceptional patient care in a rural community setting, with opportunities to engage in innovative research and high-quality education in Emergency Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent clinical care by demonstrating proficiency in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of acute medical and traumatic conditions.
- Deliver efficient, high-quality patient care that reflects current professional practice norms and skills, consistent with accepted utilization guidelines.
- Participate in teaching, educational programs, and research initiatives as desired.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and promote patient safety and satisfaction.
- Contribute to administrative and leadership responsibilities within the department and hospital, fostering a positive work environment and supporting the growth of Emergency Medicine services.
Requirements
- Unrestricted Virginia Medical license or ability to qualify for one.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so.
