About the Role
TeamHealth is seeking a physician assistant or family nurse practitioner to join an established emergency department team at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, West Virginia. Candidates with prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience are preferred.
Required certifications include a current West Virginia state license, DEA, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
The emergency department features:
- Annual volume of approximately 32,000 visits
- 20 ED beds
- Medhost EMR
- 11-hour shifts
- Medium acuity level
- 22 rooms, including a portable X-ray unit, CAT scan, portable ultrasound, X-ray rooms, and three trauma rooms
- PACS Technology for 24/7 radiology consultations
The hospital is a 132-bed acute care facility with a recently expanded Women's Center, including three labor and delivery suites, a staging area, and a nine-bed nursery with advanced safety features. Over $4.2 million in state-of-the-art medical equipment has been recently added.
