Emergency Medical Transport Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
• Absorb and assist patients as needed during boarding, disembarking, and throughout the trip.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times, including regular sanitization procedures.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
• Communicate effectively with patients and dispatchers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
• Able to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients and provide a supportive and reassuring presence.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.

Requirements

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
• Fleet Safety Education
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Fleet Safety Clearance.
• Bilingual
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with patients and families.
• Previous experience in transportation or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
