Position Summary
Concentra/Onsite Innovations is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a PRN (as-needed) role at their client's site in Amana, IA. This role involves providing emergency medical and trauma care to patients in various settings.
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to work with employee health, wellness, and safety. The EMT will be responsible for providing emergency medical and trauma care, performing triage, delivering urgent care, and assisting with patient case management.
Responsibilities
- May perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing - training provided
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and ancillary testing
- Determine nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures
- Assist clients with injuries and follow-up care
- Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician
- Administer prescribed first-aid treatment
- Communicate with emergency treatment facility as needed
- Maintain supplies, clean equipment, and ensure facility operates as expected
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced EMT
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- OSHA safety certifications or experience
- ARC/CPR Instructor certification
- Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair and Oral Fluids Collection certifications
- Continuing education to maintain license and perform job
Qualifications
- Customarily has at least 3 years of 911 experience
- Fire Fighter experience a plus
