Emergency Medical Technician I (EMT I)

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide basic management of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and/or physician.
• Assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment and perform duties under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience (required for new hires effective April 2014).
• Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (facility-specific requirement).
• Current PALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (facility-specific requirement).
• Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $26.66 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Schedule

Per Diem, Evening shift.
