Responsibilities
- Assess and provide basic management of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and/or physician.
- Assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice.
- Help maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014).
- Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (facility-specific requirement).
- Current PALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (facility-specific requirement).
- Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.82 to $27.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
