Emergency Medical Technician - EMT
About the role
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) positions are available at Ambulnz by DocGo in Dover, Delaware. Night shifts are available, and candidates must be able to work night and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to ensure top-tier patient care.
- Be flexible with work schedules, which may vary due to the 24-hour operation of emergency services.
- Stay updated with current standards of care, including equipment functions and all certifications, licenses, and registrations.
- Operate and drive the ambulance safely, adhering to safety policies and laws, and respecting all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH).
- Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
- Gather patient billing information and obtain appropriate signatures.
- Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
- Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Treat medical conditions appropriately using techniques, equipment, and knowledge of State and County protocols.
- Provide top-tier medical transport to medical facilities, assuming responsibilities for patient care and following established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- DE State EMT-Basic Certification (required)
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record (must have had driver's license for a minimum of 2 years)
- Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider
- Delaware Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVO) certification for driving positions
- Able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more
- Successfully complete a Physical Aptitude Test

Schedule
