Emergency Medical Technician - EMT

About the role

Ambulnz by DocGo is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our dynamic team. This role operates under a 24-hour clock and offers competitive pay rates.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to ensure top-tier patient care.
• Be flexible with your work shift schedule, which may vary due to the nature of emergency services.
• Stay updated with current standards of care, including equipment functions and all certifications, licenses, and registrations.
• Operate and drive the ambulance safely, adhering to safety policies and laws.
• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
• Transport patients according to outlined policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
• Perform additional duties as assigned during the Pilot Program.

Qualifications

• Valid NY State EMT certification.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification with American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more.
• Successfully complete a Physical Aptitude Test.

Pilot Program

For those interested in the Pilot Program, Ambulnz by DocGo offers a higher hourly rate of $26 per hour for full-time positions. Applicants must be able to work the Pilot Program shifts, hold all required certifications, and meet additional requirements to qualify and remain in the program.

Pay

The starting pay rate for this position is $21 - $23 per hour. For the Pilot Program, the pay rate is $26 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts: 9 - 10 hours shifts
FT Hours: 36 - 40 hours per week
PT Hours: 20 - 24 hours per week
