About the role

The Department 36212 Floyd EMS - Ambulance Services at Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Technician Basic.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in need
• Perform patient assessments and administer necessary treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers
• Operate ambulance equipment safely and efficiently
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency medical services preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina and ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Skills

• Proficiency in CPR and First Aid
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures and protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training. Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate's job. Incentive pay for select positions. Opportunity for annual increases based on performance.
