Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the hospital’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, ASPR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Plan and execute emergency preparedness training and exercises.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal emergency management agencies and healthcare coalitions.
- Lead the hospital’s Incident Command System (ICS) during activations.
- Manage emergency communication systems, including mass notification and radio systems.
- Assist in surge planning, patient movement coordination, and disaster recovery efforts.
- Evaluate after-action reports and improve response plans accordingly.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Work Experience: 7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience
