Job Responsibilities
- Serves the 14-county health district
- Affirms training needs of staff and community partners
- Plans and/or coordinates training sessions, drills, and exercises for the agency and its partners
- Utilizes exercises meeting state and federal guidelines/standards as training activities
- Evaluates training and learning outcomes
- Participates in general Emergency Preparedness planning and response activities
- May require weekend and/or evening work
- Provides excellent customer service and maintains HIPAA standards
- Responds to Public Health Emergencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, emergency management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, AND Two years of experience, OR a High School diploma or GED, AND Two years of experience in emergency management
- Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications include previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health
- Computer skills (Office suite)
- Greater than one year of experience providing training or instructional services in a functional area
- The ability to hitch, tow, and back a trailer
- Experience developing collaborations/partnerships
- Emergency Preparedness Experience
- NIMS/ICS Courses: 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
- WEBEOC, GHA911, and ReadyOp Communication system experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
