Position Overview

Join our team as a Veterinary Technician who supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
  • Perform diagnostics such as phlebotomy, cystocentesis, in house laboratory testing (CBC’s, blood chemistries, urinalysis, SNAP tests, blood typing, cross matching) blood pressures and radiographs. Take vitals, use and perform medical math
  • May include some lifting or carrying (up to 50 lbs). Will include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; updates database in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Using critical thinking to work positively as a team player; remaining calm and professional while effectively problem solve.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills when engaging with clientele.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor, Hospital Manager or Medical Director as needed.
