Emergency Hire - Materials & Stores Specialist - Facilities Management and Development

About the Role

This position is responsible for the oversight of warehouse deliveries and packages, receiving campus mail, parcels, and materials, distribution of goods and mail across campus, placing orders for materials and supplies as requested by maintenance staff, and tracking and maintenance of Facilities Management and Development (FMD) inventory. The role is located at the Cal Poly Maritime Academy in Vallejo, California.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse deliveries and packages.
  • Receive campus mail, parcels, and materials.
  • Distribute goods and mail across campus.
  • Place orders for materials and supplies as requested by maintenance staff.
  • Track and maintain FMD inventory.

Requirements

  • One year of experience performing the duties of a Stock Clerk or Warehouse Worker in California state service.
  • OR two years of experience in a supply room or warehouse involving the receipt and issuance of a large volume of varied commodities. (Experience in California state service applied toward this requirement must include at least one year at a level of responsibility at least equivalent to that of Stock Clerk.)

Pay

Anticipated Hiring Range: $21.43 - $23.57 per hour. Classification Range: $21.43 - $36.84 per hour. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
