About the Role

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possesses the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age-specific population assigned.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the clinical aspects of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Provide care to the age-specific population assigned.

Requirements

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification, or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program who has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital, or
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience.

Qualifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification (Current BLS CPR Card upon hire required).
