Emergency Department Technician - Nights

Role: Emergency Department (ED) Tech Level I Responsibilities: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, EKG, blood sugar testing, wound care, oral suctioning, splint application, and patient instruction. Performs aseptic procedures such as sterile tray prep, dressing changes, and phlebotomy. Monitors cardiac rhythms, operates pulse oximetry, and manages trauma and specialty equipment. Transports patients, supplies, equipment, and medications, ensuring proper stocking of patient care areas. Monitors patients in restraint/seclusion, documents observations, and responds to telesitter escalations with face-to-face interventions. Maintains equipment, ensures environmental safety, and performs other duties to support patient care. Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or GED, BLS certification required. Effective verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with computers, teamwork mindset, and skills in vital signs measurement are essential. Must understand aseptic techniques, operate medical monitors, and handle patient transportation safely. Key Duties: Support patient assessments, procedures, safety monitoring, equipment maintenance, and environment safety checks, all while adhering to policies and standards to ensure quality care.
