Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), Part-Time, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (**For Internal Candidate Only)
About the role
Facilitates timely and effective patient care under the supervision of licensed members of the healthcare team. Maintains a safe and clean environment to enhance department operations.
Responsibilities
- Delivers patient care consistent with the model and philosophy of relationship-based care.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment to enhance department operations.
- Works using aseptic techniques.
- May be required to set-up and run 12-lead EKG (hospital to train).
- Completes 12-lead EKG competency every 2 years.
- Must have current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
- Must complete non-violent crisis intervention training annually.
Requirements
- Minimal EKG knowledge upon hire.
- Preferred: California state licensed EMT or CNA.
- Preferred: Acute general hospital experience as an ED Tech, CNA, or nursing student.
- Basic Windows and mouse skills.

Required: Written and verbal English communication skills, basic organizational skills, knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of infection control, ability to work using aseptic techniques, minimal EKG knowledge upon hire, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification, non-violent crisis intervention training annually, preferred: California state licensed EMT or CNA, preferred: acute general hospital experience as an ED Tech, CNA, or nursing student, basic Windows and mouse skills.
