Emergency Department Technician - ED

The Emergency Department Technician (EDT) provides patient support and assists with care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include performing approved procedures, aiding patients with daily activities, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Qualifications include being at least 18 years old, effective communication in English, basic computer skills, and decision-making abilities. Preferred candidates have one year of EMT experience, acute care hospital experience, and a Wisconsin EMT-Basic license, along with current BLS certification. This role is nonexempt, part-time, and involves 36 hours per pay period with a schedule of 12-hour day/night shifts. The position requires working every third weekend and two holidays annually.
