Responsibilities
- Serves patients and families directly.
- Provides care as delegated by Licensed Nursing Staff.
- Performs EKGs and phlebotomy as needed within the scope of NA II.
- Projects a positive image of the department and hospital through interactions.
- Ensures friendly, helpful, and courteous contacts with other healthcare members.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completed North Carolina Board of Nursing approved Nursing Assistant II course.
- Completed EKG and phlebotomy on-the-job training.
- Two years of health care experience preferred.
- Certified by the State Board of Nursing as a NA II.
- BLS certification required.
- Essential interpersonal, communication, and observational skills.
- Understanding of patient care needs across various age groups.
Work Environment
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens requiring protective equipment.
- Exposure to other infectious diseases.
- Exposure to chemicals used for cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
- Standing and moving throughout the shift.
- Lifting, pulling, turning, and pushing patients daily.

Pay and Benefits
- Salary range: $16.41 - $18.87 per hour (Minimum to Midpoint).
- Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.
Schedule and Location
- Full-time position.
- Standard hours per week: 36.00.
- Onsite work schedule: Night.
- Job location: US:NC:Kinston.
- Exempt from overtime: No.
