Emergency Department Technician
About the Role
Emergency Department Technicians perform all required tasks necessary to provide patients with safe and quality care. The E.D. Technician assists patients with activities of daily living in an efficient, empathetic, and timely manner under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Duties include:
- General patient care
- Accurate measurement of vital signs, weights, intake, and output
- Assistance with meals
- Special procedures according to established nursing procedures
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED
- Three months of work experience in an acute care hospital
- Experience may include NA, EMT, SN, GN, and Medic inclusive of NA requirements
