Emergency Department Technician
About the Role
Performs functions as delegated by the RN according to the Nurse Practice Act. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Support RNs in delivering patient care as outlined in the job description for the Emergency Department Technician.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an EMT-B program required.
- IV Therapy Certification required (not required for positions located in Utah).
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- EKG Certification preferred.
- One year of healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED, or patient care) preferred.
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - Exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.

Pay
$17.00 - $23.82 per hour.
