About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients' responses to health challenges. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while coordinating activities across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts thorough multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental factors.
  • Develops individualized care and discharge plans, prioritizing patient needs and coordinating with other departments and community agencies.
  • Implements protocols, administers medications accurately, performs procedures correctly, and documents care in accordance with policies.
  • Evaluates patient responses, adjusts care plans as needed, and participates in quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum nine months RN experience, with at least one year in a clinical emergency setting or completion of a specialized internship.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and valid RN license.
  • Certifications include BLS, ACLS, and pediatric advanced life support or emergency nursing pediatric course within six months of hire, plus NIH Stroke Scale certification within three months.
  • Computer skills and additional certifications such as TNCC and CEN are preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
