Position Overview

North Platte Valley Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), is seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in the Emergency Department and acute care setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately assess and monitor patients across all age groups to determine immediate and ongoing care needs.
  • Implement, evaluate, and revise treatment plans based on patient status and physician directives.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Act as a team leader by delegating appropriately and supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and pre-hospital providers to promote continuity of care.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and patients, providing education and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital policies, standards of care, and state scope of practice regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current Wyoming Registered Nurse license (or compact state license).
  • Current BLS certification (required).
  • ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a team-based environment.
  • Background check, drug screening, and TB test required upon hire.

Schedule & Job Type

Full-Time | 12-hour shifts These two positions that are available are night shift roles NPVMC promotes a 12-hour, 7 on 7 off rotating schedule.
