Emergency Department Registered Nurse
About the Role
In the Emergency Department (ED) at Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients.
Responsibilities
- Engage in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.
- Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Valid RN License in Connecticut.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS & TNCC certification required within three months of hire.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
- Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training.
Schedule
- Full Time - 36 hours per week, night shift (12-hour shifts).
- Every other weekend and holiday.
Pay
This is an hourly position, included in the RN Step Program pay range: $40.20 to $61.95.
