About the role
We are seeking a dedicated ED Technician to join our dynamic emergency department team. You will provide critical support in fast-paced medical environments, assisting with emergency procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assists with emergency procedures and patient care
- Stocks and maintains supplies in patient care areas
- Troubleshoots and escalates supply chain issues
- Cleans and disinfects patient care areas and equipment
- Manages clinical waste disposal
- Performs basic non-invasive cardiovascular procedures
- Transports monitored and non-monitored patients within the facility
- Aliquots and labels specimens for transport
- Promotes continuity of care by recognizing and reporting abnormalities
- Assists with patient handling and lifting
- Collects and prepares patient specimens
- Trains staff and students
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Current C.N.A. license in state of practice OR EMT-1 national certification or higher
- BLS certification
- FHP sponsored Phlebotomy within 12 months of hire/transfer
- Preceptor certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety requirements

Full-time, 36 hours per week, 3x12 hour shifts, Days
Additional Pay
- Shift differential: $2.00/weekends, $2.50/evening, $6.00/nights
