Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian Hospital, offers 24-hour emergency care, a Sleep Disorders Center, and various outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual patient care plans collaboratively with the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver, adhering to established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
- Proactively plans and communicates the patient care plan across the healthcare continuum.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs according to standards of care.
- Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Role Purpose: Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
