About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who supports the nurse manager in overseeing a clinical unit, with aspirations for future management roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff to promote clinical excellence, teamwork, and service quality.
• Assist in staff recruitment, mentoring, and retention efforts.
• Collaborate to ensure patient-centered care and achieve clinical and financial goals.
• Support budget management, resource allocation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Foster professional development, evidence-based practice, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and serve as a resource for staff.
• Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and process improvements.

Requirements

• BSN or MSN required; national certification in nursing administration preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
• Desire for professional growth and understanding of healthcare operations, finance, and data utilization.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, safety, and regulatory compliance.
