About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who supports the nurse manager in overseeing a clinical unit, with aspirations for future management roles.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support staff to promote clinical excellence, teamwork, and service quality.
- Assist in staff recruitment, mentoring, and retention efforts.
- Collaborate to ensure patient-centered care and achieve clinical and financial goals.
- Support budget management, resource allocation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster professional development, evidence-based practice, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and serve as a resource for staff.
- Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and process improvements.
Requirements
- BSN or MSN required; national certification in nursing administration preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current RN license and BLS certification required.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- Desire for professional growth and understanding of healthcare operations, finance, and data utilization.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, safety, and regulatory compliance.
