About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who supports the nurse manager in overseeing a clinical unit, with aspirations for future management roles.

Responsibilities

• Leads staff, promotes teamwork, and ensures quality patient care through effective communication, coaching, and performance management.
• Assists with resource management, budgeting, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve clinical and operational outcomes.
• Supports staff recruitment, retention, and professional development, fostering a safe and positive work environment.
• Acts as a resource during the nurse manager’s absence.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to meet clinical, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred certifications in nursing administration.
