Emergency and Consultation Telepsychiatrist

About the role

Seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Telepsychiatrists to provide remote psychiatric care via videoconferencing. This role involves offering consultation and diagnostic services to diverse patient populations, including emergency and med/surg departments, using two-way audiovisual technology. The position supports a 24/7 Telehealth Service, ensuring timely crisis intervention and reducing patient wait times.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients of all ages in emergency settings
• Collaborating with Behavioral Health Counselors
• Participating in teaching and leadership opportunities within an academic environment

Qualifications

• Licensure in NYS
• Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) status
• Strong computer and EHR skills
• Experience in emergency psychiatry preferred

Skills

• Ability to evaluate ED and clinical patients of all ages
• Ability to work a mix of weekend and overnight shifts as required
