Responsibilities
- Perform an array of tasks associated with operations support for all radiological response teams.
- This will include a variety of complex tasks including on call duty rosters, training administration, outreach and exchange coordination, exercise planning and execution, and support to real-world operations.
- Become a proficient user with the NA84 Asset Readiness Management System.
- Serve as an emergency response team member and be available for recall 24 hours a day while on duty.
- Provide support during non-working hours when available.
- Aid in equipment preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality and display a professional demeanor in daily activities.
- Cook up and prioritize conflicting and/or challenging deadlines.
- Communicate on a regular basis with customers and stakeholders at various levels from numerous federal agencies.
- Exhibit a dedicated customer-service attitude and strive to provide excellent support to various stakeholders.
- Professionally interface and coordinate with program managers and other personnel at all levels from NNSA and the Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other government agencies and external parties to facilitate exercise/drill requirements.
- Perform related work as assigned by the Readiness Section supervisor and ERS&L Department Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience.
- Ability to use independent judgement, creativity, initiative, knowledge, and experience to resolve problems.
- Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with proficient verbal and written communications capabilities.
- Must have the ability to interface professionally, internal, and external to the organization.
- Ability to deal with pressure of handing multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, i.e. working in an emergency operations center supporting field team operations and federal customer requests.
- Ability to remember procedures, terminology, schedules, emergency response events, and other details.
- Must treat all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
- Able to perform during non-working hours and take on-call duty.
- Domestic travel may be required approximately 10% of the time.
- A "Q" clearance is desired.
- Flexible work schedule can be negotiated with the manager; employees can work 5/8's, 9/80's or 4/10's work-week.
Requirements
- The primary work location will be based at the Remote Sensing Laboratories at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland (RSL-A).
- This position is full-time at the RSL-Andrews’ office.
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required.

Pay
Annual salary range for this position is: $65,249.60 - $97,884.80.
