About the Role
The EMCS Manager oversees Energy Management Controls Systems (EMCS), Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Controls, and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) within Building Services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operating budgets for EMCS, HVAC Controls, and DDC shops.
- Collaborate with the Information Technology (IT) group to maintain BAS network compliance.
- Ensure systems' controllers, gateways, and servers are upgraded and accessible to users.
- Conduct long-range planning to determine and develop future EMCS system needs.
- Serve as the principal liaison and point of contact for vendors, consultants, and contractors supporting EMCS operations.
- Support capital project teams in reviewing BAS plans and specifications for upcoming HVAC or energy management control projects.
- Assist energy services and energy management with building optimization and energy triage reviews.
- Support Facilities Services Construction Shops on small in-house installations and retrofits using in-house staff.
- Ensure all HVAC systems and buildings operate as efficiently as possible.
Requirements
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
