EMC Lab Manager

About the role

The EMC Laboratory General Manager, is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and strategic direction of an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing facility. This role oversees laboratory operations, personnel, client relationships, safety compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The General Manager ensures the laboratory delivers high-quality testing services in support of automotive product development, validation, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all laboratory operations and personnel.
• Manage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate testing schedules, equipment maintenance, and resource planning.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in laboratory, automotive, manufacturing, engineering services, or technical operations.
• Experience managing teams, budgets, and client relationships.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of automotive testing, engineering environments, or EMC operations preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
