About the role
The Embryology Lab Assistant position is available at Shady Grove Fertility in Towson, MD. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and every other weekend. Three holidays per year are required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleaning of lab equipment and supplies
- Maintain lab cleanliness and organization
- Prepare media, solutions, and embryo culture dishes
- Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate lab records
- Process semen samples for insemination
- Cryopreservation of semen samples
- Manage inventory and restock lab supplies
- Follow all safety, HIPAA, and lab protocol guidelines
- Auxiliary in quality control checks and documentation
Qualifications and Skills
- Appropriate college degree or equivalent academic lab experience in bio or related field
- Minimum 6 months experience in a lab setting or equivalent academic lab experience
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently and follow precise instructions
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated, sterile environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
