Embryologist/Assistant Professor - Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
About the role
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at West Virginia University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, non-tenure Assistant Professor/Embryologist faculty member. This position is clinically based at the Center for Reproductive Medicine in Morgantown, WV, with opportunities for research.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent clinical care through technical services in the embryology and andrology laboratories
- Teach medical students, OBGYN residents, and graduate students
- Contribute to scholarly activities in the field of reproduction and/or genetics
- Dedicate 50% of time clinically and 50% to research
Requirements
- PhD degree in Cell and Molecular Biology or related area
- Currently licensed or eligible for a WV Laboratory License
- Five (5) years of experience in Transgenic Techniques and Micromanipulation
- Knowledge of Animal Reproductive Techniques
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD degree in Cell and Molecular Biology or related area. They must also currently be licensed or eligible for a WV Laboratory License and have five (5) years of experience in Transgenic Techniques and Micromanipulation. Knowledge of Animal Reproductive Techniques is also required.
Skills
Expertise in reproductive endocrinology, fertilization, and embryology. Ability to teach college students, both undergraduate and graduate, medical students, and resident physicians on these subjects.
