The Role Abbode is looking for a detail-oriented, calm-under-pressure individual to join our team embroidering both in-store and at events, activations, and pop-ups across New York City. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hands-on work, has a creative eye, and enjoys being part of high-energy environments. We are specifically seeking candidates with reliable weekend availability for this position.Responsibilities:Independently operate embroidery machines in the Abbode store and at on-site events.Set up and manage your embroidery station, including threading, hooping, and troubleshootingWork quickly and accurately in high-volume environmentsCollaborate with the front-of-house team and fellow embroiderers to ensure customer orders are completed correctly and efficientlyTransport and care for embroidery equipment and materials during eventsEnsure correct completion of orders under time pressure and quality control your workSupport the fulfillment team at the Abbode store or office with embroidery, prepping, and organizing as neededRequirements:Comfortable working live events and interacting with customersStrong time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressureFlexible availability, including weekends and eveningsCreative mindset and attention to detail — we love working with people who have an eye for design and personalizationBonus: interest in embroidery, fashion, or hands-on makingCandidates with availability through the holidays will be prioritized.
