About the role
The Embroidery Production Lead oversees daily embroidery production operations in a high-volume apparel manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily embroidery production activities.
- Cook up production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Assign work to embroidery machine operators and monitor workflow.
- Maintain efficient utilization of embroidery machines, materials, and labor.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot embroidery machine issues, design problems, and production challenges.
- Maintain production standards, efficiency, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with production, fulfillment, and other departments to ensure timely order completion.
- Train, mentor, and support embroidery operators and new team members.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and production documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in production planning and production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with quality control processes and maintaining production standards.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop production team members.
- Previous experience in embroidery or apparel manufacturing, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial embroidery machines, thread types, hooping techniques, and embroidery production processes.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
- Commitment to following workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Experience
- Leadership experience in a high-volume embroidery or apparel production facility.
- Experience optimizing production efficiency and improving workflow processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to embroidery equipment and production operations.
