About the role
- Execute HIL/SIL validation for embedded software and ECUs.
- Develop automated test scripts using Python and dSPACE tools.
- Perform debugging, system verification, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with software, controls, and validation engineering teams.
- Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, CAN/J1939, and Vector tools for testing and validation.
Responsibilities
- Execute HIL/SIL validation testing for embedded software and ECU systems.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and validation tools.
- Configure and troubleshoot dSPACE, Vector, and embedded test environments.
- Perform software and hardware verification, defect analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Support embedded controls testing using MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development tools.
- Validate communication protocols such as CAN/J1939 and support diagnostics testing.
- Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with system integration, debugging, and continuous improvement of validation processes.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of embedded software projects by ensuring quality, reliability, and performance standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Embedded Software, HIL/SIL Testing, or ECU Validation.
Skills
- HIL/SIL Validation & Testing.
- dSPACE and MATLAB/Simulink expertise.
- Python and C++ test automation.
- ECU integration, verification, and debugging.
- CAN/J1939 protocols and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer).
- Embedded software testing and root cause analysis.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot hardware.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and test automation frameworks.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible and qualified individuals.
