This Systems Administrator role supports day-to-day operations of our Centralized Services team, satisfying customer requirements through the coordination of National Projects across all time zones and supporting numerous initiatives throughout the Centralized Services business.
Responsibilities
- Provide programming support for Lenel, C-Cure, and other card access software to support 5,000+ sites in the US and Canada.
- Work with field technicians to troubleshoot, document, and commission new/existing security equipment.
- Manage security projects from concept to design, implementation, and close out.
- Configure and support security systems, including Database(s), Application Software, Operating Systems, Features, Functionality, Reports, Badges, Biometrics, and other functions.
- Assist and advise field technical personnel on specific system response and operational theory.
- Coordinate and assist other departments necessary to maintain access control systems: Badging Team, Network Team, IT Services/Hardware, Server Support, Budgets, Projects, Operations, and others.
- Support IT functionality through close coordination with both internal and external IT/Network providers.
- Support video, intercom, panic, and other security systems.
- Perform monthly and regularly scheduled maintenance for Windows and other updates/firmware.
- Use remote desktop and other support software to connect to remote hardware.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Lenel software certification and 2+ years of programming experience.
- Highly motivated with the ability to act in an autonomous role with little supervision.
- Advanced computer skills with PC hardware, software, networking, databases, servers, basic coding, and cloud computing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Field Technician background.
- Programming experience in access control, video, or intrusion.
- Manufacturer certifications in Lenel, Software House, Avigilon, or other security systems.
- IT experience with PC support, networking, server, cloud, and/or coding work.
