Basic Qualifications
- Must currently hold an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
- Other related degree field with significant software development experience
- Experience with embedded development using a real-time operating system
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical embedded software systems/programs
- Process Improvement and Affordability experience
- Software engineering Management or Software engineering Team Lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring

What You Will Be Doing
- Management and development of the team
- Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions
- Planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities
- Coinciding employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development
- Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program

Desired Skills
- Strong software architecture and design experience
- C/C++/Ada experience
- Linux/VxWorks experience
- DevSecOps experience (CI/CD, Git/Gitlab)
- Agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
- Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience including Agile EVMS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior Engineering Management Proposal Development
- Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
