Embedded Software Engineer / Onsite / Contract / Cedar Rapids

Our client, leader in aerospace & defense, is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join their team onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a 2-4 month W2 contract with benefits!* As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the verification process for critical touchscreen & display product lines. You’ll be assigned focused scope areas, such as writing test cases and procedures, and will work closely with subject matter experts, test environment specialists, and reviewers—both onsite and virtually. What You'll Be Doing Write test cases and test procedures for both Display Head and Touch Screen software Execute and debug tests on hardware in lab environments Collaborate with requirements, test environment, and review teams to develop, execute, and review test artifacts, attending daily team meetings to review project status and priorities Participate in review cycles to ensure test artifacts are approved in a timely manner Work closely with both onsite and remote, global engineering teams to advance verification processes and deliver results Required Skills & Experience 5+ years in Software Engineering, with strong embedded C++ experience Software integration and verification experience, including unit testing for embedded systems Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Experience in DO-178C DAL A or B requirements development Prior experience with display software and touch-screen solutions Posted By: Workato API User
