Key Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, and platform testing.
  • Maintain feature level software architecture for multiple models and configurations.
  • Analyze and drive for resolution of complex software issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and software integration.
  • Implement features and resolve defects following defined software requirements.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3-4 years of embedded software experience.
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated exposure in developing embedded applications using C and modeling languages (MATLAB, Simulink).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment.
  • Experience writing and reviewing software requirements.
  • Knowledge of software delivery processes.
  • Experience with software component unit and functional testing.
  • Experience with embedded hardware and OS concepts and integration.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets.

Education

BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, or BS Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with control systems design and analysis on specialized applications.
  • Experience with model-based software development tools.
  • Experience relating to the design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with continuous integration development and automated build tools.
  • Experience with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators.
  • Experience in communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes.

Pay

Compensation Range: $40.00-$43.87 per hour, W2 only. No C2C, please. The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
