Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

This role requires an embedded software engineer with experience in Rust, C, C++, or Python, agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted software development tools. The ideal candidate will design system architecture, work with containerized services using Kubernetes, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions from concept to production readiness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Implement secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
• Work within a CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous integration and delivery
• Design and implement containerized services using Kubernetes
• Participate in agile development methodologies to deliver high-quality software
• Contribute to the design and implementation of system architecture
• Perform automated testing and maintenance

Requirements

• Secured clearance required
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

Qualifications

• Experience with software engineering using Rust, C, C++, or Python
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Experience working within a CI/CD pipeline
• Knowledge of AI-assisted software development tools and practices
• Ability to effectively communicate, work independently and collaboratively on a cross-functional team, and demonstrate initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab
• Ability to display a personal or professional GitHub profile demonstrating projects

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
