Embedded S/W Engineer

Actalent is seeking an experienced C/C++ real-time embedded software engineer with hands-on Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) experience for a permanent, onsite role in Grand Prairie, TX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate real-time embedded software for hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems.
• Work with cross-discipline and cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software.
• Generate real-time software with hands-on experience in hardware testing, embedded systems, and simulation systems.
• Support integration activities in labs onsite in Dallas.
• Collaborate on closed-loop systems and automated testing frameworks, including unit testing.
• Develop low-level software and device drivers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in C/C++ real-time embedded software development.
• Active SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on HWIL experience with real-time embedded systems, including both hardware and software integration.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (C11 or higher) and Linux/Real-Time Operating Environments.
• Ability to work onsite in Grand Prairie, TX, supporting lab integration activities.
• Must work Monday–Thursday, 4/10 schedule (1st shift).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (desired).
• Experience with Ada, full software development life cycle (SDLC), Git/GitLab, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and unit testing.
• Low-level software development and device driver experience.

Pay

$96.20/hour.
