Embedded Field Service Representative (Technician)

Duties

Provides field support services related to troubleshooting and repair of systems, performs software updates, and mentors Soldiers in the execution of maintenance. Facilitates higher level repair of equipment. Ensures support equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained. Troubleshoot related product malfunctions.

Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems. Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Four (4) years of total experience with the testing of electronic equipment, to include two (2) years of experience in the testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Travel

Less than 33 % travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Physical Demands

• Be independently mobile.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
• Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
• Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
