Embedded Engineer

About the role

The Embedded Engineer III is a mid-level position responsible for independently designing, developing, and testing embedded software and firmware. The engineer at this level works with minimal supervision, leads portions of projects, and begins to serve as a technical resource for junior team members. This role requires solid technical depth in embedded systems and the ability to contribute meaningfully to architectural and design decisions. This position does not have any direct reports. This position reports to the Embedded Engineer Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Oviedo, FL.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, and test embedded firmware for microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.
• Lead firmware development efforts for specific modules or subsystems within a larger project.
• Perform hardware bring-up activities, including board-level debugging and validation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and document results.
• Drive debugging and root-cause analysis of complex hardware and software issues.
