RemoteRemoteMarketingFull-time

Full-time, remote (US EST preferred), salaried position in the Marketing department.

About the role

We are looking for a talented and driven Email & SMS Marketing Specialist to join our team full-time. In this role, you will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of email and SMS marketing campaigns for our clients. You'll craft compelling copy, build high-performing flows, and use data to continuously improve results, all while collaborating closely with our creative and client teams.

We’re looking for someone who acts as a true strategic partner to our clients, someone who anticipates needs, brings ideas to the table, and keeps projects moving even when clients are slow to respond.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage email marketing campaigns and automated flows using Klaviyo, Hubspot, Go High Level (or similar platforms) across clients
  • Create and execute SMS marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and sales
  • Design email templates and write compelling copy that aligns with brand voice and client objectives
  • Segment and target email lists to deliver personalized, relevant messaging to the right audiences
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results
  • Conduct A/B testing to continuously improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates
  • Collaborate with creative and client teams to produce engaging, high-converting marketing materials
  • Maintain and grow email and SMS subscriber lists in full compliance with applicable regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
  • Report on key performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in email and SMS marketing
  • Audit new client accounts and provide detailed 3/6/12-month roadmaps
  • Proactively bring new ideas, campaign concepts, and strategic recommendations to clients without waiting to be asked, including seasonal opportunities, flow gaps, segmentation improvements, and testing ideas
  • Take ownership of each client’s email and SMS roadmap, regularly reviewing performance and adjusting strategy ahead of key dates rather than reacting after the fact
  • Plan campaigns well in advance (minimum 30 days out for standard sends, 60 to 90 days for peak periods like BFCM) and secure client approvals early to keep work on schedule
  • Follow up persistently and professionally with clients on outstanding approvals, assets, feedback, and access requests. If a client goes quiet, keep the conversation moving through multiple channels and escalate internally when needed so deadlines aren’t missed
  • Own deliverables from start to finish, tracking open items, communicating status updates, and closing loops without needing reminders from leadership
  • Identify underperforming flows, campaigns, or list health issues and present clients with a clear recommendation and plan to fix them
  • Flag risks, blockers, and delays early to both the client and internal team, along with proposed solutions
  • Come to client calls prepared with an agenda, performance highlights, and at least one new recommendation or opportunity

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • 3+ years of proven experience in email and SMS marketing, with a strong focus on campaign management and flow creation
  • Proficiency in Klaviyo is mandatory
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into strategic decisions
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a keen eye for brand voice
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
  • Solid knowledge of email marketing best practices and compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently while also contributing as a collaborative team member
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Familiarity with eCommerce clients is a plus
  • Experience working in an eCommerce or marketing agency environment is a plus
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with a track record of bringing strategic recommendations to clients rather than waiting for direction
  • Strong follow-through and accountability. You don’t let tasks stall, and you’re comfortable following up repeatedly with clients to keep projects moving
  • Confident, client-facing communication skills, including the ability to push back, advise, and drive decisions
  • Experience managing client timelines and approvals across multiple accounts at once

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • PTO, sick days, flex time, and paid holidays (options for floating and/or religious holidays)
  • Medical and dental benefits offered
  • Eligibility for 401(k) plan after 1 year of employment, with employer match up to 3%
  • Remote-first company — processes, culture, and communication built around making remote work feel connected and effective
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Dynamic environment working with a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Collaborative, supportive team culture

Core values

  • Collaboration & Innovation — We foster an environment where great ideas thrive
  • Professional Vulnerability & Healthy Conflict — We grow by being open, honest, and constructive
  • Positivity & a Can-Do Spirit — We stay solution-focused and keep pushing forward
