Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates
  • Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
  • Create, manage and support recognition and communication programs
  • Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards

Key job responsibilities

  • Execute site-level launch delivery

  • Provide status updates and escalate risks

  • Track and report on launch readiness metrics
  • Support post-launch reviews

Job Elements

  • Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
  • Walking in the building and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
  • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • 3+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
  • 3+ years of refrigeration industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of commercial CO2 refrigeration applications experience
  • Refrigeration Trade School certificate
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for commercial refrigeration systems
  • Knowledge of performance metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, throughput, or quality
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in Amazon RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) or fulfillment operations, or experience in similar environments
  • Experience with retrofits, launches, or automation deployments
  • Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites
