Elite Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions informed by Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious targets, and ensure accountability
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery, drawing on credible narratives from your own high-achievement background, and verifying mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass framework
  • Establishing the campus cultural standard each morning through focused kickoffs that communicate high-performance expectations
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches using data rather than intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and their families by maintaining high standards, reliability, and documented motivation strategies

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one documented instance of exceptional accomplishment in a highly competitive, globally recognized field (examples: medals in national or international competition, graduation with distinction from a top-tier university, acceptance into a highly selective firm or fellowship, elite performing arts training, or founding and growing a successful enterprise)
  • At least 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentorship, athletic training, or leadership positions where you demonstrably improved others' performance
  • Willing to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • History in elite competitive sports (Division I varsity, national team, or professional level) combined with coaching or mentoring experience for younger athletes
  • Professional background in high-stakes environments such as management consulting, investment banking, or military command
  • Proven record in youth development through mentorship outside academic contexts (community groups, after-school initiatives, sports clinics)
  • Ease in presenting to and earning the confidence of families with high expectations who invest in premium private education

Working with us

  • This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
  • The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
  • The payment period is weekly.
