Eligibility Pool - 2026-2027 - Social Science Teacher
The Poway Unified School District (PUSD) is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an eligibility pool only. Positions will be filled as needed.
About the Role
This position requires a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science or another valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching social science. Candidates must also have an English Language Learners (CLAD) credential.
Requirements / Qualifications

- Credentials Required:
- A valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential - Social Science
- An English Language Learners (CLAD) credential
- Other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching social science
- Required Documents:
- Copy of Single Subject Teaching Credential (Social Science or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching social science)
- Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring)
- Current Resume
- Letter of Introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D., Executive Director, Human Resources
- Three (3) Letters of Reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. At least one should be from a supervising or site administrator. Individuals without a full-time position should have a letter from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching.
- For phone references, provide the most current cell phone number and email address.
- All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be accepted.
- Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential at no cost to the employee.
