Eligibility Pool - 2026-2027 - Public Service Teacher

The Poway Unified School District (PUSD) is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year. This posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. Candidates may be contacted directly by school sites or the PUSD Career Technical Education Department for open positions.

Requirements / Qualifications

• CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: A valid California Career Technical Education Teaching Credential – Public Service or the ability to obtain a valid California teaching credential authorizing Public Service. • REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to applying for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• 1. Copy of California Career Technical Education Teaching Credential – Public Service or proof of the ability to obtain a valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching Public Service.
• 2. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring).
• 3. Current resume.
• 4. Letter of introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D., Executive Director, Human Resources.
• 5. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching or from their current employer.
• 6. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address.
